February 21, 2019 – Still Going!

Well everyone even during all the unrest in this country and with most Missions closed our mountain Ministry hasn’t missed a beat. We are still able to lead our 3 churches and continue with our childrens programs. Now the difficult issue is trying to help the mountain people with some food, hunger has become a real problem.

Do to the unrest the mountain people have been afraid to come to town to buy basic food supplies ie: rice, cooking oil, spices, matches etc. The ones that have braved the trip down come to realize that there is a shortage of the food and much of what they need is not available.

The food that is available in some cases has doubled in price so they either buy half as much or none at all. I have been Blessed by Brothers and Sisters whom have sent money to help purchase food for the mountain people.

Yesterday was our first trip up and we met Jenel whom is a leader in one of the communities we minister in. We loaded his donkeys and he then started the 4 hour trek back home. We are now working with Kids against Hunger Canada to ship a container of food to Haiti so that we will be able to continue to Bless these people. Please keep Haiti and the mountain people in your Prayers. God Bless. Tony

New Church Plant

Haiti Report #14

I have been a little slow lately. My computer crashed and I was without it for a week while the mechanic fixed it. Seems to be working okay, for now!!

Not sure if I told report-14_img_1you but since we held our outreach the later part of last year we have planted 1 new church and 2 kids clubs with another Church on the way.

The Lord is really Blessing HIS work through us as we are having people come to Christ literally every Sunday. This past Sunday I was preaching and was really humbled by how much they were paying attention.

One thing about living here full time is that you really get to knowreport-14_img_6the people there fore you learn ways to properly disciple them. For instance with the mountain people Al, they are all basically farmers with gardens and animals. I was telling them that once you are saved you cannot go back to the way you use to live. You cannot say you are a Christian yet continue to live as you had. To describe this in a manner that they could all understand I told them they cannot be like baby pigs that have just been washed and then return to the mud report-14_img_4to get dirty again.

Al it was like a light went on in their head, you should have seen the reaction!!

Another time I was preaching at another church plant we have and I was talking report-14_img_5about bearing the mark of Christ, it went right over their head till I described it like this. You know Al when farmers brand their cattle for identification, well the mountain people do the same thing. So when I described to them about bearing the mark of Christ that way they got it. HE knows HIS sheep!!!!

Anyway Brother it has been a Blessing to see how GOD is moving amongst the mountain people.
Today we are delivering our last batch of coffee plants to some of the families I have been working with.

Construction on the radio station should start again next week, the road is almost finished.

Al please Thank everyone for their Prayers and support.

Lord Bless

Tony Jones

PS: Last Sunday we were able to hand out some food to the entire congregation

3 day outreach

Haiti Report #12

Tony with "Example"
Tony with “Example”

Report # 12 From: Tony Jones – Haiti

Sorry for the delay in letting you know how our 3 day outreach went I had a cold mixed with a little Asama while I was up there and the cold damp mountains sure didn’t help.

Needless to say say we had such a Blessed time and will now be going back up there  on a regular basis. The first day Franz drove Enoc and Edward up to where we were holding our outreach, they preached that night in a school we were using. They told me that about 20 people showed up the first night as many did not know we were coming.

The next day Franz came down to get me while Enoc and Edward preached over the loud speaker during the day telling everyone to come out. So that night was movie night (The Jesus film) and it was standing room only. We had about 70 people crammed into this room, most told us they heard Enoc and Edward that day over the loud speaker so they came out. There was a man there I had helped about a year ago while travelling through his area, his name is “Example” in English. He had brought 6 people with him from his community, they walked 2 1/2 hours one way to come see us. As before when I have showed this film many people were moved and once the film was finished Edward preached for about 15 minutes. During that time we had 6 people receive Christ and about 50 raised their hands who were interested to hear more. So we told them to come to Church in the morning.

During the showing of the Jesus film there was a leader from the Catholic Church in attendance, it is the only church up there. He apparently went to some of his congregation and told them about us. Sunday attending our service was about half of that Catholic Church, it was a full house.

It was truly a Blessing for me to see Enoc and Edward preaching the truth with such confidence and authority, they really got to these people. After the service was over none of them left but asked question after question after question. While they were asking their questions we had prepared a hot meal for them all and fed them.

Also there on Sunday was Example again, this time he brought more from his community. Before we left about 60 in attendance begged us to please come back so beginning in January we will be going up there every Sunday to minister to these people.

Franz, his Brother Jordani, Enoc, Edward and Tony. Please keep these men in your Prayers I truly believe God is going to use them to bring Glory to Himself among the mountain people.
Franz, his Brother Jordani, Enoc, Edward and Tony.
Please keep these men in your Prayers
I truly believe God is going to use them to bring Glory to Himself among the mountain people.

Now after we got back the next day Example shows up at my door, he had traveled 9 hours to come see me.  He is the main government leader in his community and a solid Christian. That is me with my arm around him. He told me he had been trying for years to have someone come to his community to preach the Gospel, nobody wanted to come up. He knew I was the only one working in the mountains and he literally begged me and Enoc to please come and minister to his community. His area is another 2 1/2 hour donkey ride from where we held our outreach. He said “Brother Tony” I am willing to build a road all the way to our community just so it will be easier for you to come preach the Gospel to my people. Instantly GOD put on my heart to say “Yes we will come” I said “Example it would be a Blessing to come to your community, of course we will come. He started to tear-up which of course made me tear-up, it was a Blessed time.

Starting the first week of January 80 men from his area will start building a 7klm road to reach his community. After they are done they will then go another 5 klm to another area where I have been helping so that we can reach those people with the Gospel. For their efforts I will be supplying the food to keep them going.

In 2008 when I started working in the mountains the mountain people in that area did the same thing, they built a road to make it easier for me to reach them. It then took me 5 hours to reach them but now that the road is built it takes me only 2 hours, this is where I am building the radio station.

Brothers and Sisters the Lord is moving amongst the mountains in Haiti.

Thank you so much for your Prayers and support …..GOD is good.

Haiti Report #11

Haite Report #11 – December 12, 2016

Hi Everyone

As most of you know my heart has been with the mountain people that live above Grand Goave. With a total population of around 115,000 only 7% actually live in the town, the remaining 93% live in the mountains.

In the town of Grand Goave we have 22 Missions, 7 radio stations, 10 orphanages, 1 hospital, 6 clinics and approximately 25 schools. All of these are servicing 7% of the population, in the mountains where the remaining 93% live there are schools which the mountain people have built and nothing else.

Since the hurricane I have never seen such suffering in the mountains as I have during these last couple of months. I’m not sure if it’s the extra hardships they are facing since the hurricane or a move of God but I feel something spiritually is changing up there. I have been working in some of the mountain areas for the last 8 years. The first time I witnessed fruits from our labor was about 1 1/2 years into disciplining the men, woman and children.

We are now leading 3 mountain church’s and have seen some remarkable spiritual growth during the last 8 months. But just in the last couple of weeks I am seeing things that just don,t add up. Since the hurricane we have been going into the mountains just about every day taking the people food etc. In my coming up to 10 years here I have never seen such hopelessness in the peoples eyes. Mountain people are really really tough and very rarely cry but during these last couple of months I have seen many tears. 4 weeks ago we delivered food into an area I hadn’t visited before, to give you an idea if you were to walk there it would take you 8 hours

Like always after unloading the Gator and before loading the donkeys so the men can return to their community we sit down with them and begin a conversation. If we only meet their physical needs we are just another charity, as a Christian we must address their spiritual hunger also. I usually start by asking them how their families are, what are their greatest needs and if there is anything we can Pray about for them.

After some conversation we then begin to witness to them as most of the people up there are involved in voodoo. During this conversation I noticed that one of the leaders was really interested in what we were saying, he listened intensely. His name is Victory in English and seemed to be really moved by our conversation. As we finished up he invited us back again in which we relied “No problem we will come see you again”

Well last week he contacted Enoc whom was with me and asked if we could come up to do a 3 day revival in his area. Now Brothers and Sisters this has never happened before, most leaders up in the mountains are usually asking witch doctors to come see them. So I want to ask your Prayers during Dec 23rd, 24th and 25th as we are going up there to do a 3 day revival. I will also be showing them the Jesus film in their native language Creole, no one up there has ever seen a movie or even knows what one is. I truly believe the breath of GOD is going the breath on these souls.

Thanks so much for your Prayers and support.

Lord Bless Tony

Last Sunday in one of the areas I work in we were able to hold our first church service since the hurricane. As you can see the building needs a little work Ha! I,m also buying bibles and songbooks that were lost during the storm

I myself am buying a horse just so some of the Haitians working with me can get around easier up there. Of course I will name him Trigger Ha!

Keep us in your Prayers Brother,

2016 Haiti Report # 9

Report from Haiti #9 – From Tony Jones
Hello everyone,
Well today was the day I have been waiting for, trouble!!! As you know we have been delivering food and medicine to the mountain people that live above Grand Goave. There are also some very poor areas just across the river here in town so I thought we would help some of them today.

Usually I am the one that drives the Gator, for a couple good reasons. The Haitians are less likely to attack us because they respect a white guy more than their own. If we get surrounded like we did last week I am pretty good at talking my way out of trouble Ha! If I tell them I will come back and bring them food they know I will.

Today I had to get my friend Franz to deliver the food because I had to wait for my boys to come home from school, Edna was working at her uncles Mission. So Franz loaded up the Gator and started out to deliver the food to one of these poorer areas. When he got to the highway there were 2 motorcycle taxi drivers parked at the corner. They yelled to Franz to give them some food but he said no.

As Franz drove away the motorcycle guys called some of their other motorcycle friends and before Franz knew it he had 10 motorcycles following him. Now the Gator only goes 30 MPH so they easily caught up to Franz, some of the otorcycles had passengers. As they got beside the Gator the passengers started to reach for the food in the back of the Gator. They were pulling small bags of food out so Franz hit the brakes and turned around heading back to town.

The bike guys called ahead and had some more motorcycles waiting for Franz as he went through town. Franz came upon 4 more motorcycles and just kept going almost hitting 2 of them. Now the chase is on and Franz is heading out of town with all these guys chasing him. They caught him and were yelling at him to give them food as he kept driving. Two guys got in front of him to try to slow him down but Franz kept his foot to the floor. One of the motorcycles crashed but Franz just kept driving, now the guys were really mad.

Luckily it has been raining and the mountains roads are very muddy so motorcycles cannot climb them. Franz made a sharp left onto a mountain road but the bikes just kept coming. Franz is a mountain kid and he knew the people where he was, he yelled out to them for help. When the bikes reached him the people were waiting with sticks and stones and started to hurl them at the bikers.

Needless to say the bikers were outa there and headed back down to the highway. Franz was very scared so he called a police friend of his and asked if he could send someone to escort him back to town. The friend and 3 other police went to see Franz and rode with him in the Gator back to town.

As they were coming into town the bikers were waiting but when they saw the police they did nothing. They just left my house now to go park the Gator for the night.

Time for a coffee.  Please keep us in your Prayers.

Lord Bless
PS: The picture is of a delivery earlier today, those are the food packs they were trying to steal

2016 Haiti Report #8

Hello everyone

My internet has just come back up, has been down for a day.

We continue to take food and Cholera medicine to the mountain people but the situation is getting worse everyday.  The mountain people are starting to become very aggressive, mostly due to their hunger.
Yesterday we took some food up to an area where the mountain people had to travel 6 hours to meet us. This trip use to take them 11 hours one way but because we have been Blessed with the Gator we are able to go up and meet them instead of them having to come all the way to town.

We started to load the food onto the donkeys and when the locals saw this they started to to yell and approached us. Thank God I knew them and told them I would be back to give them some. This calmed them down and we were able to finish loading and send the guys on their way.

The guys that came to get the food had 2 extra men with them, both had very sharp Machetes. I asked my friend Jenal the leader of the group “what is with the guys and the Machetes? He said Tony these people know you but we will be going through areas where they don’t, we may need to use them. They were more or less security. On our way down we were constantly being asked for food and help by just about everyone we saw.

While coming down we saw a man laying on the side of the trail with 2 woman trying to lift him up. The women told us they had been walking with the man for 2 hours because he was very sick. They were trying to get him to the hospital here in town but he collapsed. We were able to get him loaded into the Gator and traveled down the mountain to the hospital here in town.

He seemed to have early stages of Cholera. Today it is raining again which will only make things worse. Tomorrow we have 2 trips planned to deliver food and medicines again. Please keep us in your Prayers as we do what we can for these souls in Haiti.

I must never forget the GOD is in control.

Lord Bless

Report 7

October 11, 2016 Evening

Good evening Brothers and Sisters

Well today I was able to round up some Cholera medicine, Electro Lite ( The powder you mix with water for dehydration) and some tarps to take up to the mountain people.

The tarps were given to me by Samaritans Purse and the Cholera medicine was donated from LifeLine Christian mission here in Grand Goave.

It is so good when the body of Christ works together.

I sent my other Gator driver Franz up to deliver everything, the picture of the guy with the donkey came from the area where the 3 people died.

His name is Brutus and he walked 3 hours to meet Franz, his school and church were totally destroyed by the hurricane.

The other man holding the tarps and medicine is Ishmy, he is located where we are building the Radio Station.

The other pictures are temporary structures the people have made to sleep in.

Now the following words below are for my friends on facebook who have been trying to contact me, they are not necessarily on my email mailing list.

I am getting so many of you asking how you can help and I am deeply humbled by this.

The mountain people have lost everything so it would be great if we could replace some of what they lost. For instance a lot of them lost their livestock, it would be a Blessing to purchase some animals for them. They also lost their gardens so if we could help to buy some seeds so they can replant.

As some of you know I have been buying coffee from a lot of the families that were affected by this hurricane. Coffee is there cash crop, they make more income from coffee than any other thing they grow.

I am currently purchasing coffee from about 400 families, from what I have seen I would estimate that 60% of the coffee plants in these areas were destroyed.

Coffee is their bank account so to purchase new trees for them would sure be a great way to help.

If you are interested to help I have put together some costs for purchasing these things.

Prices are in USD currency

Cow-    $300.00

Pig-       $60.00

Goat-     $50.00

Horse-    $270.00

Donkey- $150.00

Chicken-    $5.00

Coffee plant- $1.00

For my American Brothers and Sisters you can donate through CMML (Christian Missions in many Lands)

Their website is  When you go onto their site you will see in the top right corner “How to give” Just click there and follow the instructions. When mailing you need to include a separate piece of paper saying who the donation is for. In my case you would write Tony Jones Haiti.

Click on my name and follow instructions.

Thank you so much Brothers and Sisters and please keep Haiti in your Prayers

Not to mention the Jones family also

2016 – Cholera Outbreak

We have a bigger problem looming right now as I type, Cholera has just broken out in the regions I have been going. This morning I had 20 calls from the leaders up where we minister and just this morning they buried 3 people. The dead animals etc has contaminated their only source of water, this is going to be really really bad Brother.

The other problem is there is no way to get help to these people, the roads are gone due to the recent hurricane. The strain of Cholera they have here can kill in just 5 hours.

I may have to use the Gator to help bring some of the people down, keep us in Prayer Brother.

Lord Bless

Hi Everyone

Well today was our first trip with some food up into the mountains.

Yesterday when we went up to check on the roads I could only go so far. Today there was some men working on the road who filled in some of the ditches.

So today I could go further which was great because I was able to save the guys coming to get the food 3 hours off their trip. I had told them they would need 4 donkeys to carry the food but when we arrived to our destination there was 9 guys and no donkeys.

As it turns out the animals that survived the hurricane are now all sick and not able to carry anything. So these men each put a sac of food on their heads and carried them back to their village. These sacs each weighed 88 lbs and the guys had to travel 2 hours to get back home, and they are,nt walking on the Canada trail.

Now on the way back down we stopped to thank the city road crew. They all put their hands out and wanted me to pay them for their work but I told them I would bring them some food.

They said Food!!!  Oh no bring us some Rum Ha!

All in Prayer Brothers and Sisters

Thanks so much for your support

Lord Bless
